I’m writing my first novel so in this blog there’ll be lots of references to that journey that will hopefully arouse your interest! I’ll also throw in other stories that cross my path and are worth sharing.

Esperanza
My first blog post on this website has to be a little story about one of the highlights of my working life as a photographer. I was commissioned by Greenpeace to live on board the Esperanza for ten days and document in still images the lives of the activists on the ship, including several actions in 2009 in north Queensland. This included halting the Abbot Point coal export facility for 36 hours to raise awareness of the Rudd government’s plan to double coal exports.
Living and working with these courageous activists was an honour; I witnessed them put their lives on the line for the betterment of the planet.
